Strange Brew

Strange Brew

So its February. Its dark and gloomy and cold, and spring is forever and a day away. So what better way to pass an otherwise depressing Saturday afternoon than drinking beer and listening to music? The first annual Brewing Exposition and Talent Show, to be held Feb. 12 at World Café Live, will be one part beer festival and one part battle-of-the-bands, as beer tasting and beer-related exhibits will be complimented by live music played by both local bands and the brewers themselves. Were not sure how good those brewers can play, but from just a quick glance at the beer roster we know they certainly can make beer. From Downingtowns Victory brewery to Philadelphias Yards, from Harrisburgs Troegs to Eastons Weyerbacher, the event will offer a great opportunity to try some of the best in local brewing. National breweries, including Vermonts Magic Hat and San Franciscos Anchor Steam, will also attend.
