WHO HE IS: Associate Director
of On-Campus Programs, Undergraduate Admissions
YEARS AT PENN: One year in July
WHAT SHE DOES: Walsh hires, trains
and oversees Penn’s tour guides and ambassadors. “They
don’t fit one profile,” says Walsh of the 100-plus guides
she works with. “They’re just people who love the University
and want to share their enthusiasm.” Walsh also leads information
sessions and coordinates group tours.
HOW MANY VISITORS: By mid-March,
Walsh says around 200 potential students (and parents) are visiting
campus every day. By the end of March it’ll be up to 500.
TOUR ROUTE: "We
can’t touch on everything, but we try to give them an idea of
what undergraduate life is like.” No two tours are alike, but “they
always see College Green, the Quad, Franklin Field and Locust Walk."
