University City’s newest music venue, World Café Live,
plans most of its programming for grownups—but there’s
plenty on stage this summer for the little ones, too. The new “Peanut
Butter and Jams” performance series is designed especially for
that purpose, with music, comedy and science for young minds. Coming
up in June are shows from Ralph’s World, featuring a former rock
musician bent on banishing bad kids’ music from radios everywhere;
two-time Grammy nominee Michelle Shocked performing a show of songs
specifically for her young fans; and John Hadfield’s Science
Show (right), a blend of magic, comedy and wacky science experiments.
