Eric J. Furda, Penn’s dean of admissions, will be fielding questions from potential students and their parents tonight on a live webcast from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Furda will join seven other university admissions officials for “Inside the Admissions Office,” an event sponsored by the Wall Street Journal on Campus and Unigo.

“Inside the Admissions Office” is billed as a discussion Q&A to “demystify the college admissions process,” and the sponsors report that many questions are already in the queue from high school students seeking help in their quest to find the right campus fit.

In late October, Furda, a 1987 graduate of the College, was a guest blogger for six days on The New York Times site “The Choice,” where he answered questions from students and parents from around the country.

In addition to Penn, the other institutions involved in tonight’s “Inside the Admissions Office” webcast are Bryn Mawr College, Grinnell College, Marquette University, Princeton University, the University of Vermont, Wesleyan University and Williams College.
