Ramin
Sedehi, M.P.A., was appointed Vice Dean for Finance and Administration
in the School of Arts and Sciences, to be effective March 20. He will
oversee matters of budget, facilities, computer and human resources, replacing
Mike Mandl who left last semester to assume a vice presidency at Duke
University, and replacing Interim Vice Dean Tom Stump from the School
of Engineering and Applied Science, who will stay on until Sedehi arrives.
Ramin is currently with UCSF Stanford Health Care in San Francisco, where has been Director of Schools of Medicine Support, responsible for all financial operations. Prior to the merger that created UCSF Stanford, Ramin held several positions at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center.
Kevin
Renshaw took up the post of Manager of the Penn Bookstore Jan. 1.
He has been working with Barnes & Noble College Bookstores for more
than six years, the past four managing the bookstore at Columbia University,
and prior to that managing the bookstore at Binghamton University.
Renshaw holds a bachelors degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and earned an associates degree while serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Anthony
Aiello was named the Morris Arboretums new Director of Horticulture
and Curator of Living Collections. Aiello, who studied at the Royal Botanic
Gardens in Kew, England, under a prestigious Garden Club of America Interchange
Fellowship, comes here from the Chicago Botanic Garden, where he managed
a large woody plant collection. He also was a woody plants researcher
and instructor at Iowa State Universitys horticulture program and
he interned at the Morris Arboretum in 1987.
