Dr. Richard Estes' research project he Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico" was a comprehensive study of the worldwide rise in the incidence of child sexual exploitation, including the commercial use by adults of children as the subjects of pornography, as prostitutes and as mobile "sex workers" in national and international sex trafficking.

He is co-editor of the recently published "Medical, Legal, & Social Science Aspects of Child Exploitation"
