Penn is partnering with the American Red Cross and its Katrina response
project: Give Hope Now. Volunteers for this project may be providing services
in sheltering and feeding; client assistance; physical and mental health
services; work-site and transportation support as well as technology/date
entry support. A training session for Give Hope Now will be held October
15 on the Penn campus. If you are interested in participating you must contact
the Red Cross. For further information click here.

Health Care Professionals
If you are a health care professional
who would be able to devote a minimum of two consecutive weeks to such a staffing
effort, please register your interest by clicking here.
To ensure that operational efficiencies are maintained at all Health System
facilities, volunteer activities by UPHS personnel will be coordinated by the
Office of the Chief Medical Officer (Dr. P. J. Brennan), and will be scheduled
and approved by relevant supervisors, managers, administrators, and Chairs.
