PennMOVES Sale Set for 8 a.m., Saturday, June 5

WHAT:    PennMOVES, now in its third year, is an effort to find a home for items University of Pennsylvania students can’t take with them when they leave campus and to do so in a socially responsible and environmentally friendly way.

Usable items — clothes, furniture, kitchen gear, electronics and the like— have been collected and sorted for sale at low cost, with proceeds to be given to United Way to distribute to charities to help West Philadelphians and nearby communities in need.

WHO:      The public is invited.

WHEN:    Saturday, June 5
8-10 a.m.; early bird admission: $5
10 a.m.–6 p.m.; free admission

WHERE
:    Penn’s Class of 1923 Ice Rink, 3130 Walnut St.  Entrance to the sale area is on the upper level of Walnut Street.
