On Friday, March 19, a
student-led group is holding a Chilean feast and movie night in Houston Hall's Hall
of Flags to raise money for those affected by the recent earthquake in Chile.
Attendees can buy empanadas
and other Chilean foods and watch the film "La Nana."
The Division of Human Resources' Backup Care Program offers
Penn faculty and staff last minute, in-home care. Full-time employees can use the service for short-notice, temporary-care occurrences.
The caps and gowns in this year's Commencement ceremony aren't
green in color, but they are green in spirit. The black fabric is made
of 100 percent, post-consumer, recycled plastic water and soda bottles.
Underwater archaeologist George Fletcher Bass, former
curator of the Penn Museum's Mediterranean Section, will receive the Museum's
Lucy Wharton Drexel Medal on Friday, March 26, for exceptional achievement in
archaeology.
