Share the Penn experience at Family Day Family and friends are invited to share the Penn experience at the University's 18th annual Penn Family Day on Saturday, Oct. 2. The daylong event is open to faculty and staff with a PennCard and includes many attractions, including free admission to the Penn Museum and Penn Ice Rink.
Penn Athletics offers faculty and staff with a PennCard free admission to home football games, and also allows them to bring three guests for free. To get free admission, staff and faculty need only show their PennCards at the entrance gate at Franklin Field.
PennDesign Dean Marilyn Jordan Taylor, Practice Professor Robert D. Yaro and a team of 10 recent Master of City Planning graduates were invited to the White House on Sept. 16 to present their high-speed rail plan to the nation's most famous rail commuter, Vice President Joe Biden.
Penn School of Nursing researcher Julie Sochalski, an expert on healthcare workforce issues, was recently appointed director for the Division of Nursing in the Bureau of Health Professions in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
