Infant Language

A new study from the Infant Language Center has found that babies can understand the meaning of many common nouns as early as 6 months of age, much younger than most researchers previously believed, and many months before most children speak their first word. Read more...

Penn conference honors scholar W.E.B. Du Bois
Penn will be holding a daylong conference on Friday, Feb. 17, to honor the life and scholarship of sociologist, historian, author, and civil rights activist W.E.B. Du Bois. The celebration runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. in Claudia Cohen Hall. Read more...
