Penn ranks among America’s top recipients of competitive research grants, earning more than $500 million in external funding annually.

Research at Penn’s mission is to share the knowledge generated through research activity in Penn’s 12 graduate and professional schools. Comprising online and print editions, Research at Penn is compiled by the Office of University Communications with input from an advisory board of deans and other University officials.

Our web site is updated continuously with information gathered from across the University to chronicle advances in knowledge in the areas of health, natural science, technology, society and business. Our print edition highlights of some of the University’s most notable research accomplishments on an annual basis.
