Mary Naylor of Penn Nursing Named to Medicare Payment Advisory Commission

PHILADELPHIA -- Mary Naylor of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing has been appointed to the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission.

Naylor is a professor of gerontology and director of the NewCourtland Center for Transitions and Health.

Centers Host Language Programs for High Schoolers, Teachers

PHILADELPHIA -- The South Asia Center and the Center for East Asian Studies at the University of Pennsylvania will host summer language programs to teach Hindi, Urdu and Chinese to students entering grades 9-12.  The programs, to be taught by Penn faculty, are funded by Startalk, the national effort to enhance Americans’ learning and teaching of less commonly taught languages in high schools.

University of Pennsylvania Honored in Newly Published ‘Guide to 286 Green Colleges’

PHILADELPHIA –- The University of Pennsylvania has been acknowledged as one of the country’s most environmentally responsible schools, according to the Princeton Review, which partnered with the U.S. Green Building Council to create “The Princeton Review’s Guide to 286 Green Colleges.”
