Grammy-Winning Penn Alumnus John Legend Honored at 12th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Lecture in Social Justice

WHO: John Legend, University of Pennsylvania alumnus and nine-time Grammy Award-winning recording artist.

Legend has drawn attention to global poverty and education.  He’s performed numerous benefit concerts and launched the Show Me Campaign, a non-profit organization fighting poverty.

WHAT: The 12th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Lecture in Social Justice, which honors individuals and scholars of African-American descent who have committed themselves to social justice.

Penn Museum celebrates the most important Chinese holiday of the year with our 32nd annual Chinese New Year Celebration on Saturday, February 2, 2013, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. It's a day filled with music and dance performances, martial arts demonstrations, Feng Shui and folk tale presentations, children's activities—and the grand finale lion dance.

Penn Runners Band Together in Growing Club

Every weekday, once early in the morning and once in the evening, a dedicated group of members of the Penn Running Club gather at Pottruck gym to run several miles through the city. 

Comprised of nearly 100 undergraduate and graduate students, the PRC, one of the Penn Rec sports clubs, is the largest running group on campus.

Reception Brings Penn Students, Financial Aid Donors Together

Two senior undergraduate scholarship recipients at the University of Pennsylvania shared their personal collegiate journeys as they and more than 250 other scholarship beneficiaries met with their benefactors and guests at the Fall 2012 Scholarship Celebration this month.  It was an evening of making acquaintances, renewing friendships and cementing bonds.
