Web Communications Group Meeting: 05-22-08
Meeting minutes

I. The meeting began with a brief description by Terri Ryan of Human Resources and Jared Hupp of Public Safety regarding the plans for the upcoming closing of South Street Bridge for construction.

  • The bridge closing is tentatively scheduled for September 2008 and is expected to last 18-24 months.
  • Public Safety is creating a web site that will contain new directions to Penn. All web sites that contain directions to Penn should adjust the South Street Bridge portion of the directions to reflect the city proposed detours that will be listed on the new Public Safety web site and a link to suggest visiting the new Public Safety site for more details. The new site's URL will be announced at a later date.
  • Public Safety will be distributing a media kit that will provide the specific language to use for the revised directions.

II. The Office of University Communications gave a presentation on usability testing. All of the presentations can be downloaded in Adobe PDF or Power Point format.
