President Amy Gutmann officiated Penn's 254th Commencement Exercises. The Honorable Jon M. Huntsman Jr., U.S. ambassador to China, delivered the Commencement address and received the honorary doctor of laws degree. Also recieving Honorary Doctoral Degrees this year were: Sandra M. Faber, Paul Farmer, Abdullah Ibrahim, Risa J. Lavizzo-Mourey, Greg Mortenson, Peter C. Nowell, and James S. Riepe.
