At Penn, education is deeply connected to the creation of new knowledge.
Our students and faculty create knowledge throughout campus – not only in laboratories, lecture halls, and seminar rooms, but also in College Houses, the Perelman Quadrangle, the Penn Library, the Graduate Student Center, on Locust Walk, and in the myriad programs that connect Penn teachers and learners to Philadelphia and the world beyond.
Andrew Binns, the Vice Provost for Education, oversees educational programs and University-wide educational policies that govern teachers and students at Penn.
Working closely with the Provost, the Vice Provost for University Life, and other senior administrators, he creates opportunities for interdisciplinary learning that cut across schools and programs, foster and study cultural diversity, and encourage teaching excellence and research-based learning in all educational programs.
