Descriptions:
Membership Services
Responsible for performing all membership,
locker and program sales, supplying members with information about programs
and facilities
and other general administrative duties.
Climbing Wall Employee
Responsible for the daily operation and safety of climbers using the wall.
Sign in climbers, inspect equipment, and educate patrons on our classes
and upcoming events.
Desktop Publisher
Assist with design and layout of Department of Recreation promotional
materials (flyers, brochures, ads).
Equipment Maintenance Manager
Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on fitness equipment. Training
provided.
Fitness Attendant
Enforce fitness center rules, clean equipment, and demonstrate and teach
proper techniques on all fitness equipment. Training provided.
Fitness Monitor (work study position only)
Greets patrons to class, checks passes, assists group exercise instructor
in class set up and tear down.
Intramural Official
Officiate intramural games (flag football, basketball, soccer, softball,
volleyball). No experience necessary, training provided.
Lifeguard
Provide a safe and pleasant aquatic atmosphere by enforcing rules and
act as a resource when needed. Current Lifeguard and CPR certifications
required.
Operational Assistant
(Front Desk, Equipment Monitor, Ringe Attendant)
Greet patrons, check IDs, assist in building security, provide facility
and program information to patrons, make court reservations, and perform
duties related to equipment inventory and disbursement.
Operations Supervisor
Supervise building operations, provide customer service to facility users,
enforce departmental policies and ensure safety of all users.
Personal Trainer
Develop individualized exercise programs and educate patrons on proper
training techniques. National Certification and current CPR required.
