Pottruck StairsThe Hutchinson Gymnasium will close on April 20, 2012 as the building undergoes a full-scale renovation that will be completed in September 2013. The Ringe Squash Courts and Fox Fitness Center will remain open throughout the renovation. Please contact Membership Services for more information- pennrec@pobox.upenn.edu.

David Pottruck Health and Fitness Center

Inside you will find 4 Fitness Centers with state-of-the art Cardio equipment, the 2nd floor weight room, an olympic-size pool and co-ed sauna, basketball courts, climbing wall, golf simulator, Energy Zone juice bar, exercise studios, a fully-equipped Pilates studio, locker and shower facilities, and the Department of Recreation Membership/Business Services Office.

Penn Park

Open Recreation: Penn Park fields 1 & 2 (turf fields) are open to the Penn community for open recreation Monday - Thursday 11AM-2PM. Please visit http://www.upenn.edu/calendar/ (click on Category: Sports/Rec) for additional open rec hours.

Reserving Space:  The Department of Recreation will accept Penn Park reservation requests from all Internal/Affiliated groups.  These include: Recognized Student groups, University Departments, or other organizations affiliated with the University.  E-mail pennrec@upenn.edu for more information regarding reservations.

Sheerr Pool
Build in 1967, this facility has the capacity to be either 2 short-course pools (25 meters and 25 yards, 12 lanes) or 1 long course pool (50 meters, 6 lanes) and is home to a large recreational population as well as the University’s various club and varsity teams.  The pool is equipped with a stair entrance at the shallow end, a handi-accessible chair, and an on-deck dry sauna and shower both of which are located at the deep end.  We offer swim instruction, SCUBA training and lifeguard classes through PennRec programming.

Robert A. Fox Fitness Center
The Robert A. Fox Fitness Center in Weiss Pavilion at Franklin Field adds an additional 8,000 square feet of indoor recreational space to the University of Pennsylvania campus. The facility features cardio and strength equipment along with programming including group circuit training workouts.

Pottruck and Fox members are permitted to use the Franklin Field track weekdays from 6:30 AM – 9:00 AM.  Please enter and exit Franklin Field through the Fox Fitness Center.

Ringe Squash Courts
219 S. 33rd St.
In 1998-99, Ringe was reconstructed to house 10 glassback international squash courts, the Al Molloy Exhibition Court and the Intercollegiate and Penn Squash Halls of Fame. Penn has been a consistent host of major national championships on the junior, collegiate and open levels.
