Personal Training

We regret to inform you that the Personal Training department is temporarily suspending new client registrations as we expand our team of trainers.  We apologize for the inconvenience and are hopeful to resume services in the very near future.  Please contact Membership Services if you would like to be placed on a waiting list for when services resume.  

A PennRec or Fox Only Membership is required to purchase personal training services. Our trainers are certified through reputable, national organizations and are experienced in developing personalized programs designed to achieve your health and fitness goals.

    • Services

      Our trainers will design programs specifically for each individual. Trainers will provide proper exercise instruction and will motivate you to achieve your fitness goals. New clients purchasing 10 or more sessions are eligible to receive a free initial comprehensive fitness assessment. Contact us for more information

    • Personal Training Programs

      LIFTING 101

      This 3-week program provides an introduction to the proper technique and form of Olympic lifts for novice and intermediate lifters. The Squat, Deadlift, and Overhead Press will be covered in a small group setting. Space is limited to 5-10 participants, and several classes are scheduled throughout each semester.

      PT 1-2-3

      For those just starting out, PT 1-2-3 is comprised of three interactive sessions that include:

        • A personal goal consultation along with a full POLAR TriFIT with BodyAge assessment
        • One 60-minute personal training session detailing your weekly exercise prescription
        • One 60-minute personal training session to follow up and keep you focused
      PT PUSH

      With three sessions per week over a five-week period, PT PUSH is the perfect way to break through to the next level of fitness. This program includes a pre-program Fitness Assessment and a post-program Fitness Assessment.

    • Fitness Assessments

      BODY COMPOSITION ASSESSMENT

      This 15-minute assessment measures your height, weight, and body fat percentage using the professional skin-fold method or bio-electrical impedance.

      POLOR TriFIT with BODY AGE ASSESSMENT

      This 60-minute assessment will measure your height, weight, resting heart rate, resting blood pressure, body composition, cardiovascular endurance, and body age score. A comprehensive summary of your results in comparison to national health norms will be provided.

    • Small Group Training

      TRX

      A new category of exercise for all fitness levels, TRX leverages one’s own body-weight and gravity to develop strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability simultaneously.

      SYNERGY (STRENGTH & POWER)

      These 45-minute small group interval training sessions will focus on functional dynamic movements, core activation and resistance exercises intended to build strength and improve conditioning. All levels  are welcome!

Personal Trainers on the Floor

During peak hours, our fitness rooms are staffed by certified personal trainer attendants who are easily identified wearing black shirts. If you need assistance on technique, equipment usages, or just looking for a new exercise, ask one of our Fitness Team members for assistance.
