Eligibility:

FACULTY / STAFF:
Full-time, part-time or retiree. Includes University, UPHS, Presbyterian, CHOP, and Wistar Institute staff members. University employees may purchase membership online or in person with Penn Card ID. HUP, CHOP, and Presbyterian staff must purchase a membership (first), then purchase a Penn Card for $25 from the Penn Card Center in the Franklin Building. See membership services for more information.

University and HUP Faculty/staff may use the Hutchinson Gymnasium basketball courts, squash courts, and locker/shower facilities at no charge; however a waiver must be signed annually and the PennCard ID activated for this purpose. This privilege expires annually on August 31 and must be renewed at the Membership Services Office in Pottruck. These facilities are only open to CHOP, Presbyterian, and Wistar Institute faculty / staff with purchase of a membership plan.

CHARTER MEMBER:
Faculty / Staff members that joined the Pottruck Center prior to its opening on September 9, 2002.

VISITING FACULTY:
Faculty teaching classes at the University that are also faculty at another institution.

GRADUATE STUDENT:
Graduate/professional students enrolled as full-time assessed students. Graduate students may use the Hutchinson Gymnasium basketball courts, squash courts, and locker/shower facilities with their PennID; however the ID must be activated in Membership Services upon completion of a liability waiver. All memberships are annual, non-refundable and expire on August 31.

VISITING STUDENT:
Students attending classes at Penn that are also enrolled at another institution. All memberships are annual, non-refundable and expire on August 31.

PART-TIME STUDENT:
Penn students taking classes part-time that are not assessed the recreation fee. Part-time students may use the Hutchinson Gymnasium basketball courts, squash courts, and locker/shower facilities with their PennID; however the ID must be activated in Membership Services upon completion of a liability waiver. All memberships are annual, non-refundable and expire on August 31.

ALUMNI:
Any individual who has received a degree from an academic program at Penn. All memberships are annual, non-refundable and expire on August 31.
 
ALUMNI EARLY BIRD MEMBERSHIP:
A limited weekday membership to the Pottruck Center. This membership permits Alumni facilty usage Monday - Friday, 6:00 - 8:00 a.m. All memberships are annual, non-refundable and expire on August 31.

AFFILIATE:
Professionals, administrative and support staff affiliated with Child Guidance Clinic, Children’s Seashore House, Graduate Hospital, Pennsylvania Hospital and the University City Science Center. Affiliates must present an introduction letter on departmental letterhead. All memberships are annual, non-refundable and expire on August 31.

SPOUSE/ DEPENDENT:
Spouses, same-sex domestic partners as defined by University policy, and children 18 years of age or younger. Spouse, same-sex domestic partners and dependents must have a PennCard IDand will be required to provide proof of status (examples: Marriage license, lease, dependents must provide a birth certificate) when obtaining the PennCard.All memberships are annual, non-refundable and expire on August 31.

Note: The Spouse / Dependent rate is only applicable if an immediate family member has a membership. If the immediate family member does not have a membership, the rate defaults to the primary membership amount.

All Inclusive Memberships:  Add $120 to any membership for unlimited access to informal climbing wall hours and group exercise classes.
