West Coast Swing Dance

Want to be able to dance to almost any music you hear on the radio? West Coast Swing can range from soulful and funky to smooth and sleek. All levels are welcome to learn this popular and versatile social dance. No partner necessary!

Hip Hop Dance

Learn the latest hip hop moves and choreography with this series of 75 minute classes. These classes will utilize dance combinations to emphasize the importance of rhythm, work your heart rate, and bring out your inner cool. All levels welcome! Classes are held in Studio 409.

Intro to Ballet

Ballet is much like learning a language: it takes time, discipline, and commitment. In this class, this beautiful dance form will be explored at a basic level. This class will show you what a great workout ballet can be, even if it is your first class. What to expect? The class will begin with light stretching followed by floor and barre work. This class is designed for students with little or no ballet experience. Instruction by Cat Long; Intro to Ballet meets 2x/week.

Beginner Ballet

Learn classical ballet training– barre and center work, while building poise, grace, and posture. Using ballet vocabulary as a starting point, you will push the limits of ballet technique to work on the essentials of proper alignment, agility, speed, and precision. Beginner levels welcome.

Beginner Ballet meets twice /week on Mondays & Wednesdays, 5:30 - 6:45 pm, Studio 305

Intermediate Ballet:

Principles of posture positioning and stance are taught at an advanced level and pace.  Style and flexibility are emphasized.  Ballet slippers and appropriate dance clothing recommended.  Prerequisite:  At least one year of ballet training and prior knowledge of simple turns and jumps

Modern Dance

All levels are welcome to explore the body in motion and get your creative juices flowing. The class will progress through warm-up, stretching / centering, and build to dynamic choreography that flows, flies and swirls. Students will learn dynamic phrase work, listen to great usic and enjoy moving together within a supportive community in this 75minute class! Instruction by A.T. Moffett.

Contemporary Dance

A ballet based technique with a modern movement twist where all levels are welcome! This 75-minute class will include more center work and conditioning with a focus on combinations and choreography.

Jazz Dance

Through learning the basics of rhythm, isolation, and characterization, these 75-minute classes provide students with great cardio exercise and training in a rhythmic and percussive dance genre. Each class includes a warm up, core strengthening exercises, travelling movement sequences, and choreography to popular, upbeat music. All levels welcome!
