Intramural Greek League Points System

Fraternities & Sororities may enter one team per charter in the Greek league. If a charter can support more than one team, the second team must be entered in either the competitive or recreational division. If a charter enters more than one team in a particular sport, those teams must remain exclusive. In other words, members of the fraternity may play for one team or the other but not both. Teams will be able to adjust their rosters from sport to sport.Teams in the Greek division will earn points towards an overall championship. Points will be awarded according to the system outlined below.

Soccer Basketball
Tennis Badminton
Flag Football Table Tennis
Squash Softball
Golf Tennis Doubles
Volleyball Track Meet
Swim Meet  

Team Sports

Soccer, Flag Football, Basketball, and Softball

Teams will be awarded 10 points for each win 5 points for each tie

Volleyball

Teams will be awarded:
3 points for each game win
5 points for each match win
10 points for each playoff match win*.

Additionally, teams will be awarded bonus points for:

Playing every scheduled game - 20 points
Placing 1st in a tournament - 30 points
Placing 2nd in a tournament - 20 points
*Teams will not earn points for individual games in the playoffs.

Individual Sports

Tennis, Tennis Doubles, Squash, Badminton, Table Tennis

Individuals will be awarded:
5 points for each match win

Additionally, individuals will be awarded bonus points for:

Playing every scheduled match - 5 points
Placing 1st in a tournament - 30 points
Placing 2nd in a tournament - 20 points

Swim Meet, Track Meet

Individuals will be awarded points for each event according to the following scale:
1st place = 15 points
2nd place = 12 points
3rd place = 8 points
4th place = 7 points
5th place = 6 points
6th place = 5 points
7th place = 4 points
8th place = 3 points
9th place = 2 points
10th place = 1 point

Team championship will be determined by total accumulation of points in individual events.

Points will be awarded to:

1st place finisher- 30 points
2nd place finisher- 20 points

Golf

Individuals will be awarded points according to the following scale:
1st place = 50 points
2nd place = 40 points
3rd place = 35 points
4th place = 30 points
5th place = 25 points
6th place = 20 points
7th place = 15 points
8th place = 10 points
9th place = 5 points
10th place = 3 points

Additionally, individuals will be awarded:
5 bonus points for completing the round

Each charter may enter 1 golfer in the Greek division; additional golfers must compete in either the competitive or recreational division.
