When students are submatriculants or in dual-degree programs, SRS determines which program is primary and which is secondary based on general rules. However, you can change the primary and secondary designations, if necessary.
See Dual Degree Students and Submatriculated Students for complete information on the general rules for assigning primary and secondary programs.
In SRS, dual-degree and submatriculated students have a "primary" and a "secondary" division each term.
A student's primary division is the "division of registration"--the division that administers the student's registration, in which the student is counted at the time of the term census, and for tuition distribution.
A student may occasionally be active in three programs at the same time, for example, if he or she is a dual-degree candidate AND a submatriculant.
In SRS, only two of these programs will appear on Screen 111, Student Academic Term Detail. This does not mean that SRS does not recognize the third program, but you will have to specifically assign registrations and credit to the third program. See "Academic Records" for more information on assigning credit to third programs.
