Canceling a Matriculation

If a student matriculates into an academic program then decides not to attend, the student is said to have "canceled"

When students cancel, you should indicate that fact and NOT simply delete them.

To cancel a student's matriculation, use an exit action of CA (canceled).

See Closing an APS Entry for this procedure.

Cancellation requires an exit REASON. Use an appropriate exit reason.

You cannot cancel a matriculation if the student already is activated for a term. SRS will not allow you to cancel an APS if the student took courses while matriculated in that program, or if any entries were made to the students' term record during that period.
