Sometimes students who are on leave of absence are permitted to withdraw without officially returning from leave. This means that you have an APS entry with one entry action and TWO exit actions (leave of absence and withdrawal).

In this case, it is not necessary to open a new APS, readmitting and then withdrawing the students. When two exit actions are required, use "final action" for the second, as described below.

Graduation while on leave is an exception to the above case. When a graduation is posted, SRS automatically replaces the previous exit action with "graduation" and moves the previous exit action to "final action". This topic is covered more fully in "Graduation".

To assign a final action:

-

Establish the context by entering the SID on Screen 110.

-

Tab to the SEQ number at the left of the MATRICULATION HISTORY line that you want to change.

-

Press Enter.

-

Tab to FINAL field and type the date on which the final action takes place, in MMDDYY format.

-

Type the appropriate exit ACTION code in the line next to the date.

-

Tab to the blank line below the ACTION code any type the appropriate exit REASON code.

-

Press Enter.
