Dropping Course Requests

Student may drop primary course requests as long as the Advance Registration collection period is open.

When you drop a primary course request, the alternate course request associated with it is also dropped.

If you want to drop ONLY the alternate course request, treat it as a change to a primary course request. See "CHANGING COURSE REQUESTS" for more information.

If you want to drop a course request that has permission, you must first drop the course, then drop the permission.

To drop a course request in Advance Registration:
- Establish the context by entering the SID and TERM on Screen 1A4.
- Tab to the blank line under * (Function Field) at the left of the course request you want to drop and type D, for drop.
- Press Enter.

You should receive either message "DROPPED" or "DROPPED, HAD PERMIT
(or AUTH)".

NOTE: Course request and message remain on the screen only until
you change the student records, change screens, or press Enter
again. If the course request had a permit or authorization, the
permission remains.
- IF YOU HAVE TO DROP THE COURSE PERMISSION:

- Tab to the blank line under the * (Function Field) at the left of the course
permission you want to drop and type D, for drop.
- Press Enter.

You should receive the message "DROPPED".

NOTE: Course request and message remain on the screen only until
you change the student records, change screens, or press Enter again.
