Placing Messages and Memos in Publications

In addition to the standard registration controls, you can add a variety of memo notes to the term publications. Unlike permits, co-requisites, and quotas, these notes have no effect on the registration process, they are informational messages for students.

You have some control over where messages print. Messages can be set to print before the section, or not at all. The usual convention for course term publications is that a message will pertain to the course section listed below it.

To put memo notes in the term publication:

-

Establish the context line by entering the COURSE and the TERM on Screen 131.

-

Press Enter.

-

Tab to the CTL TYPE field and type the code for the type of memo note you want in the course term publication or use PF2, the on-line help key.

-

Press Enter.
