"Automatic" Grade Changes
Grading

Each division at Penn has established a policy for certain grade changes to take place automatically after a period of time elapses.

These changes are performed by a batch process only through the Office of the University Registrar. A list of the changes is sent to the divisions after the changes are made.

Examples of automatic grade changes include:

- "incomplete" grades to "failures"
- "incomplete" grades to "permanent incomplete"
