Grade point average is calculated internally and displayed on the SRS screens for all careers. However, some divisions do not use the GPA, and it is not printed on transcripts of students in those divisions.
The student's grade point average is calculated by dividing the total quality points by the total quality credits. SRS calculates GPA to the thousandth decimal place on both a term-by-term and a cumulative basis, by career.
For ALL careers, the GPA displays in the ON-LINE academic record if quality points have been defined in the grade table for the grades that are used by that career. See "Academic Records" for more information on this topic.
