Conditions that Prevent Graduation
Graduation

There are two situations in SRS that will prevent authorized users from completing the graduation process:

- matriculation in a non-degree program
- incorrect exit action

To proceed through the graduation process, the student must be matriculated into a degree program. Not all programs award degrees. Whether a particular program awards a degree or not is indicated by the "DEG" field on Screen 134, Approved Academic Programs.

Example: The CGS post-baccalaureate program does not
award a degree. Students in this program cannot be
given a degree through SRS.

To proceed through the graduation process, the student must have an appropriate exit action. Some exit actions block the graduation process. SRS allows graduation only for exit actions EG (Expected Graduation), LV (Leave of Absence), and AL (Administrative Leave of Absence).

Examples: One student has an exit action of JX
(judicial suspension). Another has an exit action
of GD (graduated). SRS will not accept degrees for
either student.
