Overview

In SRS, authorized university officials may restrict students from registering for courses and/or obtaining transcripts and grade reports, through the use of holds. Various types of holds may be placed on the students in SRS for a number of reasons, such as financial, academic, or judicial.

Certain other holds that may be placed in SRS are informational only, these are H & G Type Holds and do not have any effect on registration, grading or transcript processing.

SRS automatically maintains a count of holds on each student, including types R (registration), T (transcript), B (counted in both registration and transcripts), and H holds (counted in Other). As holds of each type are added or deleted, the tallies are amended accordingly. Type G holds (General Comment) entered on Screen 10, are NOT counted in these tallies.
