The Student Schedule Mailer

OBSOLETE

The Registrar's Office mails each student a copy of his or her course schedule twice each term. Once following the close of Advance Registration and once following the close of the Registration Drop/Request period.

PROGRAM NOTICE Field, on Screen 111, Student Academic Term Detail, tells the system whether or not to send a schedule mailer to a student. The PROGRAM NOTICE field always contains one of the following values:

- 0 (program notice has not been sent)

- 1 (program notice has been sent)

- 2 (student requires program notice)

How the PROGRAM NOTICE FIELD works in SRS:

-

When a new academic term detail record is created for a student without any SCEs (student course entries), the value of PROGRAM NOTICE is set to 0.

-

When the student requests course sections, creating SCEs, the value of PROGRAM NOTICE is set to 2.

-

When the program is run to produce the first schedule mailer, the value of PROGRAM NOTICE is set to 1.

-

When the student requests additional courses, drops courses sections or otherwise make any changes to SCEs, the value of PROGRAM NOTICE is set to 2 again.

-

When the program is run to produce the second schedule mailer, the value of PROGRAM NOTICE is set to 1 again.

To change the PROGRAM NOTICE field manually:

-

If the value in the PROGRAM NOTICE field is O and you want to mail a schedule to the student then enter 2 into the PROGRAM FIELD.

-

If the value in the PROGRAM NOTICE field is 1 and you want to mail a schedule to the student then enter 2 into the PROGRAM FIELD.
