SRS Online Help

SRS provides explanations of fields and values with its online help facility. Help is available on two levels: Screen and field.

SCREEN HELP

SRS Screen Help consists of a single screen of text for each online screen of the system. The text explains the purpose of the screen and gives an overview of the data it contains.

Tab to the SCREEN field and press thePF2 to get the Field Help screen for that field. The bottom of the screen gives the Help screen navigation instructions.

PASSBACK

Field Help incorporates a useful feature called "Passback". If you use Field Help to locate an appropriate value for a field, you can transfer that value directly from the help screen back to your input screen. Place the cursor anywhere on the line of the value that you want to "Passback" and then press Enter. The value will be taken back to the field. You must then press Enter again to update the field.
