SRS Shortcuts
SRS does not force you to type out complete information when the
information follows a specific format.
- If you are typing a screen number in context, you do
not need to type the "leading zeros" (zeros that come before the first
significant digit).
- If you are typing a course ID on the Registration screens and Course Screens, you do not need to type the hyphens after subject area and course number. Simply type the subject area, course number and section number.
- If you are typing a date, you do not need to put slashes or hyphens after the month and day. Type the six numbers of the date (MMDDYY). When you press Enter, SRS will provide the hyphens.
- If you are typing a number that has a decimal followed by zeros, you do not need to type the zeros. Type the number and the decimal and SRS will fill in as many zeros as needed.
