Specific Charges for 2006-2007

All Specific Charges are in addition to each committee's "General" Charge in the Council Bylaws

1. Establish appropriate communication link with the Office of Government and Community Affairs and Vice President Van McMurtry, specifically to discuss ways of linking community activities to University outreach.
2. In keeping with the Penn Compact, canvass the University for outreach activities as a means of identifying current University efforts and establish recommendations for improvement.
3. Evaluate the effectiveness of changes in the most recent Spring Fling/Hey Day events and make recommendations.
4. Meet with Vice President for Public Safety Maureen Rush to receive an update on recent public safety initiatives, determine its effectiveness, (e.g., CCTV, lighting, increased officers) and attempt to collect community feedback.
5. Review and discuss the committee’s general charge and identify two or three issues that should be given highest priority for the committee’s work in AY 2007-08.
