Autumn at Penn

The soft, golden light of autumn accentuates the beauty of Penn's tree-lined urban campus, located in the heart of West Philadelphia.

All of Penn's 12 undergraduate and graduate schools are located within walking distance of one another. The proximity of the schools allows the University to foster a truly interdisciplinary approach to learning and research.

Penn's singular campus is also home to several cultural institutions, including the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, the Institute of Contemporary Art, the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts and the Arthur Ross Gallery.

Recently named the No. 1 "Best Neighbor" by the Survey of Best College and University Civic Partnerships, Penn contributes to the economic and cultural fabric of its home city of Philadelphia. Each year, more than 1,800 Penn students volunteer in community schools, work in neighborhood health clinics and participate in other community service initiatives as part of their academic experience.
