Penn Preview Days

Newly admitted students to the Class of 2017 and their families get a taste of life at the University during Penn Preview Days.

Hosted by the Penn Admissions Office, nearly 4,000 people from around the world descend on campus over four days in April to experience academic life at Penn, as well as cultural and social events.

During their daylong visit, students and parents meet with faculty, academic advisors, and current students to gain an insider’s view of the Penn experience.

Participants can tour the Penn Library, College Houses, the student cultural resource centers, and campus hubs such as the Platt Student Performing Arts House and Kelly Writers House.

As a fun learning exercise about Penn, students and their families can participate in Quaker Quest, a scavenger hunt that takes attendees to significant locations around campus, including the LOVE statue, Penn Museum, and Huntsman Hall.

The day wraps up with a student group musical performance and a sampling of some famous Philadelphia snacks—soft pretzels and water ice.
