Move-In Green

Move-In Green is Penn’s move-in engagement program dedicated to environmental sustainability. The program gives upperclassmen leaders the opportunity engage new and returning students on environmental initiatives around campus.

Program Responsibilities

Choosing to be a Move-In Green Volunteer is a fun and interactive experience!  Duties include managing outreach tables at the Quad, Hill, and High Rises. Talking with students about environmental activities on campus, educating students about how to recycle at Penn and recycling locations, staffing select NSO Zero-Waste events, and assisting with hands-on recycling support in College Houses.  Ideal candidates are motivated, responsible, with a passion for all things environmental and great interpersonal skills!

Volunteers are required to:

  • Attend a Spring Welcome Session
  • Attend a Fall Training Session
  • Volunteer for three full days from Thursday - Saturday during Move-In/NSO
