      <description><![CDATA[<p>Penn&#8217;s Center for Undergraduate Research and Fellowships (<span class="caps">CURF</span>) invites all first-year Penn undergraduates to apply for the Summer 2009 Provost&#8217;s Undergraduate Research Mentoring Program (<span class="caps">PURM</span>). <span class="caps">PURM</span> provides students who have just completed their first year at Penn with a $3,000 summer living stipend while they conduct research with a Penn faculty member as their mentor and supervisor.
