How to Apply
M&TSI will select up to 50 participants to attend the summer 2009 program. Selections will be based on academic achievement, leadership in extracurricular activities, including school and non-school-based activities like student government, community service, artistic and cultural, and athletic activities.
All applications are submitted online with supporting documentation mailed after the online application is complete. Applicants will receive instructions on how to submit the supporting documentation at the conclusion of the online application.
The online application will be posted in early January 2010.
In addition to the online application, please submit the following items:
- Official high school transcript (including Fall 2009 grades)
- Two letters of recommendation from teachers (preferably one math or science teacher) in standard letter format
- One page essay on the following topic: Recall an experience that sparked your interest in studying both management and technology concurrently. Reflect on your experience as it relates to your interest in attending the Management & Technology Summer Institute.
- Official test score reports (SAT I or ACT and AP exams. If the SAT has not been taken, please submit PSAT scores) TOEFL exams are required for international applicants. Photocopies of test scores will be accepted, there is no need to have them sent from the College Board.
- $75 non-refundable application fee
The online application deadline is March 15, 2010. All supporting materials of the application must be submitted in full by April 1, 2010. We strongly advise you to apply early. M&TSI employs a rolling admissions process, so we evaluate applications in the order we receive them. This results in a steadily diminishing number of spaces. We will begin accepting applications in January, and decisions will be made no later than April 15, 2010.
