Mitch Blutt, MD, MBA

Dr. Blutt is an Executive Partner of J.P. Morgan Partners, LLC, the $20 billion investment fund of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and one of the largest private equity and venture capital activities in the world. J.P. Morgan Partners provides private equity and mezzanine investments to growing companies on a global basis. Its investments are highly diversified across industries and geographical areas. Dr. Blutt participates in the general management of the firm, as well as having specific responsibility for overseeing the Life Sciences and Health Care Infrastructure Group, Real Estate, Entertainment and Israeli focus areas for JPMP. He serves on the Management Committee of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. Dr. Blutt is also on the Board of the National Venture Capital Association. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center.
Dr. Blutt completed his BA and MD degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. He received his MBA at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania during the Clinical Scholars Fellowship sponsored by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. He completed his medical residency at the New York Hospital/Cornell Medical School. He was one of the first employees of Chemical Venture Partners (1986), the predecessor to Chase Capital Partners, which is now J.P. Morgan Partners, LLC
Dr. Blutt serves on the boards of directors of several companies, including Hanger Orthopedic Group, Fisher Scientific Corp., La Petite Academy Corp., DJ Orthopedics Inc., Palm Entertainment Corp. and on the Advisory Board of the DS Polaris Fund, Dubilier & Co., The Tinicum Fund, the Global Academy for the Human Genome Human Being and the Cornell Center for Complementary and Integrative Medicine. He formerly served on the board of Cardinal Health Corp., General Medical Corp., and many others. Dr. Blutt is a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania and is also a member of the Board of Overseers of the University of Pennsylvania's School of Arts and Sciences and is the Vice Chair of the University Committee for Undergraduate Financial Aid. He also serves on the International Board of Governors of the Peres Center for Peace.
