Sandy Schwartz named to US Preventive Services Task Force.
This month, LDI Senior Fellow Sandy Schwartz joins the US Preventive Services Task Force, the leading independent panel of experts in prevention and primary care. Dr. Schwartz is the Leon Hess Professor of Medicine, Health Management, and Economics, and the former executive director of LDI. The Task Force consists of 16 health care experts and conducts rigorous, impartial assessments of the effectiveness of a broad range of clinical preventive services including screening, counseling, and preventive medications. Its recommendations are considered the gold standard for clinical preventive services.
