Shiriki Kumayika wins H.O.P.E. Award. Congratulations to LDI Senior
Fellow Shiriki Kumanyika, PhD, MPH, for receiving the 2006 Robert F. Allen
Symbol of H.O.P.E (Helping Other People through Empowerment) Award. The
award is presented annually by the American Journal of Health Promotion
for outstanding contributions to serving the health promotion needs of
underserved populations. Dr. Kumanyika, Professor of Epidemiology in Biostatistics
and Epidemiology and in Pediatrics, received her award at the National
Wellness Conference on July 17, 2006.
